VLOG - Info for speakers
The Vlog “Posthumans” would like to thank you
for sharing your knowledge and your wisdom on the digital platform,
so that many more people can learn from you.
Guidelines
- Usually interviews develop in one or two sections, which are published separately under the title of a specific topic
- Each section lasts around 20 minutes (no more than that)
- Each section consists of an informal conversation on the topics of your expertise
- The conversation should be fluid and dynamic. For each question, please answer in no more than 3 to 4 minutes.
- Audience: please, keep in mind that the potential audience is vast and multilayered. There may be some experts watching the videos, but the majority of viewers are people interested in the topics, but who are not experts themselves, and they are watching these videos to learn more. This is why, please clarify each concept and do not give anything for granted.
- Please, note that, in the case you mention a notion or topic that is specific to your area of knowledge, I will invite you to clarify it in more general and accessible terms.
- There is not going to be editing after the recording, so think of it as a live interview.
- Thanks again to your contribution to the global debate on the posthuman: your insights are highly appreciated!

CHECKLIST
This is our remote (vlog and podcast) interview checklist to to be arranged by guests prior to interview:
- If you can move your computer, find somewhere in your house that is quiet and not too far from your WiFi router.
- If there are others at home, let them know you will be recording.
- Listen for and eliminate background sounds like fans or refrigerators.
- Turn on “do not disturb” mode on your computer and phone to reduce distractions. Also, disable things such as automatic online backups that might use up bandwidth.
- Please use headphones.
- If your headphones have a microphone on the cord, make sure it’s not brushing on your clothing.
The call will be recorded. However, for a higher quality recording we’d like you to also record your end of the conversation separately.
- One easy way to do this is on the website: https://vocaroo.com/.
- On vocaroo.com, click the gear icon and ensure both toggles are set to OFF.
- Click the red microphone icon to start recording. It should pulse red while recording.
- At the end of the interview click the pulsing red stop button. It may take some time to process. - Press Save & Share and copy the link into the Zoom chat room.
If you have a smartphone and are comfortable using it, it may produce a better recording than the mic built into your headset or computer. Use the Voice Memos (or similar) app to make a recording and email the resulting file back to us. Keep the phone placed on the table in front of you during the interview.
Thank You!
